Pet Care Incursion
On Monday the 27th of March, the junior school students participated in the Responsible Pet Education Program Incursion. The session began with students learning about the importance of pet identification methods such as using collars, pet registration and microchipping. They learnt what to do if they are approached by an unknown or angry dog and learnt four safe steps to take when approaching dogs that are on a lead and accompanied by a person. There was also a focus on understanding that our pets have feelings that we must respect. To conclude the session, some students had a chance to pat Chester the beagle while practicing the skills they learnt to safely approach a dog.
