Newlands Primary School
Newlands Primary School is situated in West Preston opposite the new Coburg Hill development. Our school is proud of the role we play in our community and we take pride in our welcoming atmosphere. At Newlands, students, teachers and parents all actively participate in the learning partnerships.
2019 Foundation Orientation Program
Student Orientation Session 1
9:00 -10:00 a.m. Play based activities in foundation classroom
You will get to know each other and your teachers whilst doing play-based learning activities.
Student Orientation Session 2
9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Story time and tour of the school.
You will listen to an amazing story from one of the fantastic books in our school library and then tour our school.
Student Orientation Session 3
9:30 -11:30 a.m.
You will need to bring along your hat and a snack. You will be joining in with the current transition class to play outside on our amazing playground. You will also meet your 2019 Grade 5/6 buddy and join in PMP activities with them.
Student Orientation Session 4
9:00 – 10:00 a.m.
You will get to do some wonderful activities in Spanish and music. You will be ab le to go home and say hello to all your friends and family in Spanish.

We celebrated Education Week with a variety of activities and events. You can see images of what we did in the projects at the bottom of this page.
